Investigate The World:
Example 1: Neighborhood Project
Freshman Year one of our first projects was the neighborhood project in geography. In this project we were tasked to set the boundaries on what our neighborhood was, find some points of interest in our neighborhood, and map our route to Austin High. I liked this project because at that point I hadn't really been around my neighborhood much and it was good to just go out and look around my neighborhood. The project can be found at this link:
Example 2: Carbon Footprint Project
The Carbon Footprint Project was from physics junior year. In this project we were tasked to research what a Carbon Footprint was, then we had to do a personal energy audit and make a graph showing the ways we use energy, then we had to write about the ways we could potentially reduce our carbon footprint as well as offset our carbon footprint. I liked this project because I think it was important that we investigated our energy so we could be more mindful and aware moving forward.
