Costa Rica
Our next trip sophomore year was to Costa Rica. We began the trip by going to Earth University where we learned a lot about the effect humanity is having on the environment and how Earth University is being completely sustainable, as well as training students from all over the planet. Then we went to the Bri Bri Native American reservation where we did some community service such as picking up trash and painting the senior center, we also got talked to by one of the elders of the tribe which was really interesting. Going to the Bri Bri was incredibly eye opening and really made me think about how we have treated the Native Americans and kind of disrupted their natural way of life. We also visited some small farms or "fincas, the family I visited was extremely nice and I had fun practicing my Spanish with them and learning about their lives. I also enjoyed the scenery in Costa Rica, ecspecially driving through the mountain regions. Costa Rica was a great learning expierence and I'm really glad we got to go there.
