AGS Reflection
Being in AGS for the past four years has truly enhanced my high school experience. Though it has had it's ups and downs I'm truly glad I stuck with it, and really believe it has made me a very positive impact on me. My favorite part of AGS is the travel and that is one of the major reasons I wanted to be in AGS in the first place, travel is very important to me and I feel it is the one of the best ways to learn and gain perspective. I also really enjoyed my AGS classes for the most part as I had some great teachers that were definitely qualified, and to me the AGS teachers were also able to give more attention to students than in comprehensive. AGS classes also had a very global aspect to them which I think is important as it's good to learn from a global perspective as that tends to eliminate bias. There were many fun experiences besides travel in AGS that I'm glad I was able to take part in. I had some great classmates in AGS and there was a strong sense of community which I liked, and I definitely made strong friendships with some great people. I really would recommend AGS to any kid as the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages and it genuinely enhanced my time at Austin High.
